Summary

Why Red Wire? Well, in electronics it’s always positive which is why we chose the name. And of course, it’s easy to remember. Same with how we want our customer experience to be.
Our expertise is in design of electronics. Over the years we have been given the opportunity to work in a variety of areas: telecom, RFID, RF communications, LED lighting, power systems, and of course embedded systems. Our blend of experience allows us to bring a robust and cost-effective solution to our customers. We use a very consistent methodology that we have adapted and refined over the years. This allows us to deliver top performing systems to our customers most often in the very first pass.

Check out our services page and our tools page to see what we offer in more detail as well as the kinds of tools we use to complete our product design.

PRESIDENT aND PRINCIPAL ENGINEER

Bill Dempsey

Initially starting off in military electronics design, Bill worked for Honeywell and E-Systems developing cockpit video systems for B-1B and C-17 aircraft. At E-Systems he was a key designer of the JSIPS image processing system. During the dot-com days of the 90’s Bill moved into telecommunications where he honed his skills in high-speed signal integrity design and printed-circuit board layout. In 2001, Bill founded Red Wire Enterprises to offer complete end-to-end electronics designs to customers.

At Red Wire Enterprises, Bill has developed over 200 customer circuit designs with key focus areas such as optical communication ranging from 2.5Gbps to 400Gbps. Bill has been chief designer of customer designs and handles processor design, power design, communication design. Bill has expert knowledge in simulation of such circuits and led numerous PCB designs to achieve market leading communication speeds. Bill recently completed a hybrid photonics - silicon MCM BGA flip-chip design for the leading FPGA design company in the world.

In 2022-2024 Bill joined Ghost Autonomy, Inc as a staff member for design of W-band automotive radars and computational electronics for self-driving autonomous cars. Bill was responsible for multiple radar designs including a Power-over-Coax GSML based W-band front-radar. Bill also lead the latest generation computational platform for the Ghost Autonomy self-driving vehicle.

In April 2024 when Ghost Autonomy shuttered its doors, Bill has returned full-time to Red Wire Enterprises to continue to develop leading edge technology designs in computation and radar processing.
